anyone know where to find more "alternative", more specifically, goth karaoke CDs?

. . . i'm looking for anything . . . mainstream goth type music will work. like Morissey, The Smiths, The Cure, etc . . .

i've found a few compilation karaoke CD-Gs that have one or two "goth" songs on them, but not exactly what i'm looking for.

any suggestions?

There's no real goth karaoke collection CD marketted by anyone yet, but I think you can put together a good karaoke mix CD via Sunfly (www.sunflykaraoke.com) full of bands like the ones you mentioned. I know off hand that Sunfly as in their catalogue the following songs that kind of surprised me, besides the Cure and the Smiths:

    Bauhaus "Kick In The Eye"
    Siouxsie "Dear Prudence"
    Siouxsie "Hong Kong Garden"
    The Creatures "Right Now"
    Japan "Quiet Life"
Gary Numan & Tubeway Army- "Are Friends Electric?"
Echo & The Bunnymen- "The Killing Moon"

Oh, and they have a bunch of Smiths/Morrissey and Cure to choose from. I hope this helps.

i'm putting together "Goth Camp" for Burning Flipside this year. we're going to do not only DJ'd music, but also Morrisey Mopey Hour (instead of happy hour) . . . we're probably going to have another karaoke event too, but i need some more karaoke music before i can plan anything else.

just so you know why i'm looking for it.

well, then there is just the pure enjoyment of having some goth karaoke to pop into my karaoke player at anytime.

      karaokeinfo.com

You pay 60.00 and then you share files with people and can choose from what the other people have. You type in your want and it comes up if it exists. It's only for experienced computer users though, the handbook is a bit hard to follow and if you make a mistake the hosts of the site yell at you. Really. It's the weirdest thing. I've downloaded a couple hundred songs there and ripped them and you never pay a fee again.
I'd advise using a very good firewall of course.

I swear to you on a bible (and I'm a Catholic school teacher) that this post is NOT spam. I'm just trying to describe it. You can't do it if you have a mac, and all my computers are Macs, so I can't do it anymore. Waah. I miss it.
